Senior Pastor – Rev. Ted
Underwood

Pastor Ted and his wife, Sharon Joy,
had been layman youth leaders for
eighteen years when God called him
to full time ministry. He moved his
family to Wichita, Kansas to study
for his ordination while working at
one of the largest churches in the
Nazarene denomination under the
leadership of longtime friend and
mentor Dr. Gene Williams. He then
returned to South Florida as Pastor
to Families with Youth at the church
where he grew up. Pastor Ted has
been the Senior Pastor at FPC since
1998. He and Sharon Joy have two
sons with two beautiful
daughters-in-law: Jamey & Suzanna
and Jody & Roxanne.
Associate Pastor – Jamey
Underwood
jamey@fortpiercechurch.com
Jamey is a triple major graduate of
both Trevecca Nazarene University
and Trinity Bible College with one
major in Religion and two in
Communications. He serves in a
number of capacities from opening
the service with “Jamey’s Schtick”,
an informal story of the road told
every Sunday in a devotional format,
to filling in at the pulpit when
needed. In addition, he and his
wife, Suzanna, lead the young adult
group.
Worship Pastor – Zack Harris

Zack serves as our Pastor of Worship
& Creative Arts. He grew up in
Wichita, Kansas and then attended
MidAmerica Nazarene University.
While at MidAmerica, he received his
BA in Organizational Leadership
with an emphasis in Music Ministry.
His greatest achievement in college
was finding his beautiful wife
Nicole. Zack and Nicole were married
March 22nd, 2008. Nicole is truly a
partner in ministry and a wonderful
cook. Zack's goal for worship
is to pursue authenticity with
musical excellence so as to "give
God all glory and honor in the
world."
Youth Director – Steve Purinton

This “Pied Piper” of teenagers has
worked with youth for 17 years. As
an ex-college football player, Steve
has an innate knack of getting the
youth of FPC to “Huddle Up.” He and
his wife April are not only
intuitive and in tune with the
relationships they form with the
teens, but with the individual
families each teen represents as
well.
